The Side of the News the Mainstream Media Ignores: The Disrespect of Our Veterans
In a world where the mainstream media often fails to cover the full story, it’s important to shed light on the treatment of our veterans. The neocons, backed by the establishment, frequently fabricate new wars and expect young men and women to offer their lives for their war games. Rarely is the true motive behind these wars about protecting the nation.
Veterans deserve the utmost respect, especially from those in the establishment who rely on these brave individuals to maintain their global standing. Military recruitment targets young men and women with promises of a brighter future, paid housing, health benefits, and more. Yet, those in power show little concern or respect for those who proudly serve.
At the commencement of every military funeral, the widow or mother of a fallen soldier is presented with a flag and told, “On behalf of the President of the United States and a grateful nation, please accept this flag as a symbol of our appreciation for your loved one’s honorable and faithful service.”
The disrespect towards our veterans is evident in the story of a wounded Marine who shared his interaction with President Joe Biden. After suffering horrific injuries and amputations, Biden visited his bedside but offered no condolences. Instead, he used the opportunity as a public relations stunt. When the Marine’s mother expressed her anger and demanded Biden take care of her son, the president simply asked, “What do you want?”
This lack of empathy and disrespect towards our veterans is alarming. While leaders speak proudly of sending troops to battle, it’s important to question why these individuals should risk their lives for foreign interests and endless battles. The recruitment message of “What do you want?” signifies the disregard for the lives being destroyed and families being dismantled for the sake of war games.
It’s time to bring attention to the treatment of our veterans and the true motives behind these wars. The disrespect towards those who sacrifice everything for their country is shameful, and it’s important to advocate for the respect and support our veterans truly deserve.
