Are you tired of the nickel and diming that often comes with budget airlines? Well, Spirit Airlines is changing the game with new packages for their highest-priced tickets that include all the perks you used to have to pay for separately.
Starting late next month, Spirit will offer four categories of service:
– “Go Big” Tickets will include a spot in one of the airline’s Big Front Seats, free Wi-Fi, a checked bag, cabin luggage, and unlimited snacks and drinks.
– “Go Comfy” offers a seat with extra space by blocking the middle seat, earlier boarding, snacks, and one non-alcoholic beverage.
– “Go Savvy” fares come with either a checked bag or a carry-on.
– “Go” is the original Spirit product, with just a seat and options to add on extras.
These new options will be available to book on August 16th and will be available on flights starting August 27th. This move by Spirit is an attempt to increase revenue after facing challenges like a blocked takeover by JetBlue, engine recalls, and tough competition in the airline industry.
But Spirit isn’t the only airline making changes to attract more customers. Southwest Airlines recently announced plans to offer “premium” seats with more legroom, while Frontier Airlines introduced blocked middle seats at the front of the plane for a higher price.
