Telegram celebrates its 11th anniversary with new features like Star Reactions, Subscriptions, and Super Channels to enhance user experience and support content creators.
Join us in celebrating Telegram’s 11th anniversary as they launch a series of exciting new features designed to elevate user interaction and empower content creators. These innovative updates include Star Reactions, Star Subscriptions, and Super Channels, all aimed at enriching the Telegram experience for its community.
Introducing Star Reactions
With the new Star Reactions feature, users can now show their support for their favorite channels and creators by sending Telegram Stars. Channel owners will receive 100% of the stars, which can be converted into Toncoin cryptocurrency rewards or used to promote subsidized ads. Each post with star reactions will showcase a leaderboard highlighting the top senders, with an option for users to maintain their privacy.
Discover Star Subscriptions
Telegram has also unveiled Star Subscriptions, enabling content creators to create special invite links that allow users to join a channel in exchange for a monthly payment in Telegram Stars. This feature facilitates the creation of exclusive channels that offer additional content, early access to media, or VIP livestreams. Creators can easily set up a paid link by navigating to Channel Settings and enabling the required monthly fee.
Monetize Your Efforts with Paid Media
Channel owners now have the opportunity to monetize their channels by posting paid photos and videos. This update extends the option of paid posts to bots, including bot admins and those managing Telegram Business accounts. This opens up new possibilities for automating channels and businesses, as well as providing services like image generation and video upscaling.
Explore Super Channels
One of the major highlights is the introduction of Super Channels, which allows channel admins to post as their own profiles or other channels, giving the channel a more interactive group-like feel. Admins can easily switch between profiles by tapping the profile picture in the message bar. To enable this feature, admins simply need to activate Sign Messages and Show Authors’ Profiles in the channel settings.
Enhanced Document Viewer for iOS
iOS users can now enjoy a new document viewer that opens files such as .pdf, .xls, or .docx in separate tabs within the Telegram browser. This enhanced feature makes it convenient to switch between files and messages within chats seamlessly.
Since its previous birthday, Telegram has introduced 17 major updates, including features like Stories, Quotes, Profiles, Recommendations, Telegram Business, Sticker Maker, Giveaway Platform, Bookmarks, and Creator Rewards. These updates have played a key role in growing Telegram’s user base to nearly one billion without the need for a traditional marketing budget.
This update is already available for all iOS users and those who have downloaded Telegram for Android directly from the official site. The Google Play version is currently undergoing review and will be released soon.
