Render Network Metrics
Render Network has experienced significant growth in key metrics, particularly in network compute capacity, with a focus on decentralized platform advancements. Comparing Q1 2024 to Q1 2023, the network has seen substantial growth in available GPU power, with an increase in intensive GPU rendering jobs being submitted.
Frames Rendered
- 17.7% year-over-year growth, with 2,495,084 frames rendered in Q1 2024 compared to 2,119,813 in Q1 2023.
RENDER Used
- 60.28% year-over-year growth, with 816,602 RENDER used in Q1 2024 compared to 509,469 in Q1 2023.
Despite a decline in job creation year-over-year, the average RENDER usage per job has increased significantly, showcasing the network’s efficiency and performance improvements.
Key Milestones
During NVIDIA’s GTC event, Render Network made groundbreaking announcements, including the appointment of Emad Mostaque to the Render Network Board of Advisors and the introduction of RNP-011: PIWA Creating Millions of 3D Training Assets. This proposal aims to revolutionize generative AI models through the network.
Founder Jules Urbach presented an updated vision for the convergence of 3D graphics and AI, highlighting transformative advancements in 3D graphics, AI, GPU computing, spatial media, and the creative economy.
New Render Network Features
Through the RNP process, Render Network introduced innovative features such as the Render Network Wizard for Maxon Cinema 4D and the integration of Blender’s Cycles in the network. These enhancements aim to streamline workflows and provide high-performance decentralized computing to users.
Other new features include the ability to download to third-party storage providers like Dropbox, as well as the introduction of automated Render Network node payments and a Render Network Dashboard, enhancing user experience and efficiency.
Best of the Metaverse — Render Edition
- Octane X at WWDC — Octane X was optimized for Apple’s next-generation hardware, showcasing the future of mobile AI and decentralized GPU compute on Render.
- WAI-000 VR at NAB — A groundbreaking VR short film, WAI, rendered on the Render Network, presented the future of spatial media.
- Render Network Used for MSG Sphere Experience — Render Power user Brilly shared an immersive advertising experience for the MSG Sphere rendered on the Render Network.
- Render Network Featured at Consensus & Token 2049 — Render Foundation participated in high-profile talks and events, showcasing its expertise in blockchain and decentralized AI.
- Render Foundation Grants — Render Foundation expanded its grant programs, supporting ambitious projects in 3D rendering, spatial computing, and AI.
