Set to open its gates on May 22, 2025, in Orlando, Florida, Epic Universe is Universal’s fourth theme park, covering a massive 750 acres. This new park will feature five themed worlds, including The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – The Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon – The Isle of Berk, Celestial Park, and Dark Universe.
Epic Universe represents the largest investment Comcast’s NBCUniversal has ever made in its theme parks business and in Florida overall, marking a significant milestone in the company’s expansion plans. Despite construction halts due to the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, work has resumed, and the park is on track to open as scheduled.
With the addition of Epic Universe, Universal aims to transform its two-park resort into a weeklong travel destination, offering guests a comprehensive vacation experience. The park will be anchored around the luxurious Loews Hotels’ Universal Helios Grand Hotel, providing guests with convenient access to the attractions.
In preparation for the opening, Universal will start offering multiday tickets and packages, allowing visitors to experience the full range of attractions at the Orlando Resort. Annual passholders will also have the opportunity to purchase single-day tickets to Epic Universe before they are available to the general public.
