Let’s start with Asia, where the NIKKEI 225 decreased by 1.05%, Shanghai saw a slight increase, Hang Seng went down by 0.07%, ASX 200 increased by 0.40%, SENSEX decreased by 0.18%, and Nifty50 dropped by 0.21%. In the currency markets, AUDUSD and NZDUSD went up, while USDJPY and USDCNY saw decreases.
Moving on to Europe, the CAC 40, FTSE 100, and DAX 30 all saw declines in their stock markets. In the currency markets, EURUSD and GBPUSD went up, while USDCHF decreased.
In the US market, the Dow declined by 0.54%, S&P 500 went down by 0.3%, Nasdaq advanced by 0.25%, and Russell 2000 declined by 0.61%. In Canada, TSX Composite and TSX 60 saw declines, while Brazil’s Bovespa advanced.
In the energy sector, the oil markets had a mixed day with changes in crude oil, Brent, natural gas, gasoline, and heating oil prices. Some of the top commodity gainers included Natural Gas, Platinum, Lumber, and Milk, while Zinc, Corn, Cocoa, and Orange Juice were among the top losers.
Lastly, in the bond market, we saw fluctuations in yields for Japan, US 2’s, US 10’s, US 30’s, Bunds, France, Italy, Turkey, Greece, Portugal, Spain, and UK Gilts.
