The team at Cronos Labs has been hard at work implementing a series of significant updates and community engagement activities to enhance the user experience and foster a stronger connection within the #CROFam ecosystem.
One of the most notable developments is the launch of the Tethys testnet for the Cronos zkEVM project. This testnet integrates zkSync’s technology, allowing for secure and efficient cross-chain interactions with the Ethereum Mainnet. To encourage participation and feedback from the community, users can take part in testnet quests via Galxe until June 30. Additionally, the Cronos team has exciting community activities lined up, including the “Cronos zkEVM Pioneer Program” with loyalty points, pre-mainnet CRO deposits, and mainnet quests.
In addition to the testnet upgrades, several projects within the Cronos ecosystem have introduced new initiatives. Veno Finance is offering a giveaway to celebrate the launch of Liquid TIA Staking, with a reward pool of $500 in $VNO for participants who stake at least $10 worth of TIA. Ebisu’s Bay has airdropped 600,000 $FRTN tokens to early users and launched a raffle for over 40 rare NFTs. Wolfswap has just concluded Season 4 of their rewards campaign and is gearing up for Season 5 to commence on June 24. Earn Network is also expanding its product offerings on the Cronos EVM blockchain.
NFT and DeFi campaigns are also in full swing within the Cronos ecosystem. Minted Network recently launched the Golden Tree of Fortune collection in collaboration with Earn Network. LILLIUS introduced LILLI NFTs, offering exclusive access and points convertible into $LLT token rewards. CroSkull NFT kicked off Season 8 of their Adventures for staking Croskulls. New America NFT is preparing for an early play test of their Web3 game, HyperCity, in July, while Mad Meerkat NFT will be launching a new mini-game, Jumpy Meerkat, with periodic challenges for prizes. Cr00ts is also gearing up to release version 3.0 of their game, featuring new play styles, animations, and characters from partner projects.
On the technical side, Corgi Studio has enhanced their launchpad in the Creator Lounge on Cronos, incorporating features like OnlyMeID and adjustable mint schedules. FuryBrawl is integrating new AI and 3D characters into Web3 games on Cronos EVM, while LOAF has announced several initiatives, including a Galxe giveaway and the release of the ToastOff game.
In terms of partnerships and programs, Cronos EVM has welcomed Exaion, a subsidiary of EDF, Europe’s largest electricity group, as the latest blockchain network validator. The Cronos Accelerator program recently showcased demo day presentations from its newest cohort, providing valuable insights for users and startup founders.
