Jeep sales projected to increase by 50% by 2027

During Stellantis’ recent investor day, CEO Carlos Tavares highlighted the company’s plans to expand production and sales to approximately 1.5 million units by 2027. To achieve this goal, Stellantis will ramp up its vehicle and powertrain offerings, with a particular focus on the Jeep brand.

Jeep’s CEO, Antonio Filosa, revealed that the brand will introduce three new vehicle nameplates by 2027, bringing the total to 13. These vehicles will offer a wide range of powertrain options, including traditional internal combustion engines, hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and all-electric models. This expansion is part of Jeep’s strategy to enhance customer choice, increase market coverage, and drive globalization.

The majority of this growth is targeted in North America, where Jeep aims to surpass sales of 1 million units by 2027, up from approximately 700,000 units in the previous year. Additionally, Jeep is set to launch several new models, including the Wagoneer S EV and the Recon off-road vehicle inspired by the Wrangler.

Jeep’s sales have been on an upward trajectory, with a notable 47% increase in the first quarter of this year compared to the same period last year. Despite selling nearly 643,000 vehicles in 2023, down 6% from the previous year, Jeep remains a significant contributor to Stellantis’ U.S. sales, accounting for 42% of the total in 2023.
