The HKMA–DFSA partnership, established in December 2023, aims to promote sustainable finance and drive discussions on transition finance. The conference will focus on the challenges and opportunities of transitioning towards a more sustainable financial model, with a specific emphasis on practical discussions and collaboration between Hong Kong and Dubai.

Key discussions at the conference will include a fireside chat between Mr. Eddie Yue, Chief Executive of the HKMA, and Mr. Ian Johnston, Chief Executive of the DFSA. High-profile speakers will lead panels on topics such as the vision for a net-zero transition, capital allocation for transition finance, and the future of sustainable finance.

As both Asia and the Middle East strive towards achieving net-zero emissions, the conference will play a crucial role in facilitating regional cooperation and knowledge sharing. By bringing together experts and decision-makers from both regions, the event aims to drive progress towards common climate goals and support the transition to more sustainable growth models.
