Crowd in Omaha at Berkshire meeting impressed by bronze bust of the late Charlie Munger

Introducing the Exclusive Finance art sculptures by Artist Yu Shu

At Extreme Investor Network, we are excited to bring you a unique blend of art and finance with the exclusive sculptures created by renowned artist Yu Shu. Yu Shu’s latest creation is a 24-inch tall, bronze bust sculpture of the late Charlie Munger, which garnered attention at the Omaha Marriott during the Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting.

This exquisite sculpture not only captivated Berkshire shareholders but also caught the eye of Munger’s own daughter Wendy and his longtime executive assistant, Doerthe Obert. Yu Shu, the talented artist behind the masterpiece, shared her experience of meeting Doerthe at the Marriott lobby, where the sculpture was displayed alongside champagne glasses and brochures.

But Yu’s journey with Munger’s sculpture began long before the Berkshire annual meeting. In March 2023, she made an unexpected visit to Munger’s home in Los Angeles in hopes of meeting the iconic investor. Though she was unable to meet Munger in person, Yu received close-up shots of his profile from Doerthe, which helped her fine-tune the facial details of the sculpture.

As a visitor to 10 Berkshire annual meetings, Yu drew inspiration from Warren Buffett’s words, “If you do what you love, you will never work a day in your life.” This philosophy motivated Yu to blend her passion for art with her admiration for Berkshire, leading her to create stunning bronze sculptures of finance legends like Munger.

Currently, Yu is working on creating larger-than-life sculptures of Warren Buffett, staying true to her dedication to the world of finance and art. The full-sized bronze busts of Charlie Munger are available for $19,500 each, while half-sized cold cast bronze busts are priced at $595.

One longtime Berkshire shareholder was so impressed with Yu’s work that he purchased the Munger bust displayed at the Marriott lobby. This anonymous buyer expressed his desire to gift the artwork to the Munger family, highlighting the emotional connection that Yu’s sculptures evoke.

At Extreme Investor Network, we are thrilled to showcase Yu Shu’s exceptional talent and her unique perspective on blending art and finance. Stay tuned for more exclusive updates on Yu’s upcoming creations and her creative journey in the world of finance artistry.
