Breaking News: Conflux (CFX) v2.4.0-testnet Hardfork Upgrade Announcement
Welcome to Extreme Investor Network, where we bring you the latest updates from the world of cryptocurrency and blockchain. Today, we’re excited to announce the upcoming v2.4.0-testnet hardfork upgrade for Conflux, a leading public blockchain system focused on fast and secure decentralized applications.
According to the Conflux Forum, all nodes must undergo an upgrade before the epoch number hits 173520000, which is expected to happen on May 30 at 15:00 (GMT+8). This upgrade will introduce several Conflux Improvement Proposals (CIPs) upon reaching specific block numbers, enhancing performance and security.
What’s Changing?
The hardfork includes a range of incompatible changes designed to improve the Conflux network. Key CIPs to note include:
- CIP-130: Aligning gas limit with transaction size.
- CIP-131: Removing the “clear contract whitelist on contract deletion” feature.
- CIP-132: Fixing a bug related to static context checks.
- And more beneficial changes to enhance the network.
RPC Improvements and Bug Fixes
In addition to these changes, the upgrade will bring RPC improvements, support for EIP1559-type transactions, and bug fixes to enhance the overall functionality of the Conflux network.
Action Required for Node Operators and Miners
If you are a node operator or miner, it’s essential to upgrade your node to the latest version before the specified epoch number to avoid incompatibility issues.
