Breaking Language Barriers: ElevenLabs Partners with WorkHaven to Aid Domestic Violence Survivors
In a groundbreaking collaboration, ElevenLabs, a pioneer in text-to-speech technology, has joined forces with WorkHaven to revolutionize the accessibility of recovery resources for survivors of Domestic and Family Violence (DFV). Through the Verdella program, this partnership introduces AI-generated audio resources in nine languages, marking a significant step towards breaking language barriers and providing essential support to those in need.
The Impact of AI in Supporting DFV Survivors
The Verdella initiative, spearheaded by WorkHaven, plays a crucial role in assisting DFV survivors on their path to healing and recovery. Understanding the significance of language diversity, ElevenLabs leveraged its state-of-the-art voice technology to create personalized audio content for Verdella’s nine modules. Initially presented in English, these audio resources now cater to a wider audience by offering guidance in multiple languages, ensuring a more inclusive and tailored support system.
Expanding Access with Multilingual Support
Thanks to the collaboration with 2M Language Services, Verdella’s AI-generated audio resources are now available in eight additional languages, including Arabic, Hindi, Korean, Punjabi, Tagalog, Vietnamese, and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese. This expansion not only enhances accessibility but also maintains the program’s integrity through certified translations, empowering survivors to engage with the resources in their preferred language.
The Transformative Power of Collaboration
By bridging linguistic barriers and promoting inclusivity, ElevenLabs and WorkHaven are leveraging AI technology to make a meaningful impact on the lives of DFV survivors. This partnership showcases how innovative solutions can address societal challenges and provide vital support to vulnerable communities. As the Verdella program continues to evolve, it sets a new standard for using technology to bridge gaps in accessibility and empower individuals on their journey to recovery.
