In Asia, we saw a mixed day as the NIKKEI 225 decreased slightly, while the Shanghai and ASX 200 increased. The major Asian currency markets also had a mixed day, with fluctuations in AUDUSD, NZDUSD, USDJPY, and USDCNY.
Moving on to Europe and EMEA, the major stock markets experienced a negative day, with declines in the CAC 40, FTSE 100, and DAX 30. The currency markets also saw mixed results, with changes in EURUSD, GBPUSD, and USDCHF.
In the US and Americas, the Dow declined, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq showed mixed movements. In Canada, the TSX Composite also declined, along with the TSX 60. Brazil’s Bovespa also saw a decline in its market closing.
In the energy sector, oil markets had a green day with increases in Crude Oil, Brent, Natural Gas, Gasoline, and Heating Oil. Top commodity gainers included Natural Gas, Cheese, Crude Oil, and Orange Juice, while top commodity losers were Methanol, Bitumen, Nickel, and Palladium.
Lastly, in the bonds market, we saw movements in various countries’ bond yields such as Japan, US, Bunds, France, Italy, Turkey, Greece, Portugal, Spain, and UK Gilts.
