In Asia, the stock markets had a mixed day with the NIKKEI 225 and Shanghai seeing gains, while the ASX 200 and SENSEX experienced slight declines. The major currency markets also had a mixed day, with AUDUSD and NZDUSD both increasing, while USDJPY and USDCNY decreased.
Moving on to Europe, the stock markets saw positive movements with the CAC 40, FTSE 100, and DAX 30 all recording gains. In the currency markets, EURUSD and GBPUSD increased, while USDCHF decreased.
In the US and the Americas, the Dow, S&P 500, Nasdaq, and Russell 2000 all advanced. In Canada, the TSX Composite and TSX 60 also saw gains, while the Bovespa in Brazil recorded an increase.
In the energy markets, crude oil and Brent both increased, while natural gas saw a decrease. Top commodity gainers included silver, copper, steel, and zinc, while natural gas, oat, cheese, and rice were among the top losers.
Lastly, in the bond market, we saw movements in yields for various countries including Japan, the US, Germany, France, Italy, Turkey, Greece, Portugal, Spain, and the UK.
