Cronos (CRO) zkEVM Testnet Upgraded to ‘Tethys’ with Success

At Extreme Investor Network, we are excited to share the latest update from Cronos (CRO) zkEVM Testnet, which has successfully upgraded to ‘Tethys’. This upgrade represents a significant milestone as we look forward to the launch of the Cronos zkEVM mainnet in late summer 2024.

What sets Cronos zkEVM apart is its Zero-Knowledge (ZK) Layer 2 blockchain network of Ethereum, focusing on scalability and mainstream adoption. Through a collaboration with Cronos Labs, Matter Labs, zkSync team, Crypto.com, VVS Finance, Fulcrom Finance, and Veno Finance, the network utilizes ZK Stack technology to enhance its features.

In the recent Tethys upgrade, users can expect advancements such as shared liquidity, yield-bearing assets, account abstraction, and various technical enhancements. Additionally, new URLs for the Cronos zkEVM Testnet blockchain explorer, JSON RPC, and faucet have been introduced to enhance the user experience.

While the Testnet primarily targets developers, a user rewards program with engaging quests is set to be announced soon, providing users with an opportunity to explore the features of the network. Looking ahead, the mainnet launch date is contingent upon the shared bridge connection with the zkSync / ZK Stack ecosystem, with the ability to deposit Ethereum expected by late June to early July.

At Extreme Investor Network, we applaud the #CROFam community for their continuous support and enthusiasm for the Cronos ecosystem. Stay tuned for more updates and developments as we approach the launch of the Cronos zkEVM mainnet in the upcoming months.
