The event, held at the CHI Health Center in downtown Omaha, featured over 20,000 square feet of showroom space and more than 50,000 items of inventory from various Berkshire holding companies, including Brooks Running, See’s Candies, and Jazwares. Shareholders had the exclusive opportunity to participate in the event and purchase items at a special discount.
One of the highlights of the event was Jazwares, the American toymaker known for its popular Squishmallows plushie line. Last year, Jazwares debuted a Warren Buffett plushie, which was a hit among attendees. This year, the company expanded its exhibit in the convention hall, showcasing the latest Squishmallows toys for Buffett and Charlie Munger, as well as other exciting displays.
In addition to Jazwares, other Berkshire subsidiaries made a splash at the event. The Bookworm featured “Poor Charlie’s Almanack: The Essential Wit and Wisdom of Charles T. Munger,” in honor of Munger, Buffett’s longtime business partner who passed away last year.
Flight Safety, Berkshire’s pilot training company, provided shareholders with a taste of its training program through a flight simulation experience using virtual reality glasses. The event also saw displays from Pilot Travel Centers, Duracell, Brooks Running, and Dairy Queen, all of which are part of the Berkshire family.
Brooks Running attracted a long line of shareholders eager to get their hands on the 2024 special edition running shoes, while Dairy Queen, a favorite of Warren Buffett, showcased its delicious treats for attendees to enjoy.
